Font colour and background in slide descriptions

Back in 2011 I drew your attention to the problem of not being able to change the font colour and background in individual "slide descriptions".
This problem has still not been resolved.
It makes the control over colour schemes on pages, especially The Home Page if slide descriptions are used, awkward.
