Worried about function of "Website 5"

I have been using drop down menus in Version 8, but when the sites were viewed using an IPad that function did not work. I upgraded to version 10. This time the menus could be seen on both Windows PC AND the IPad.
However - the Email forms function stopped working on both machines. Incomedia said that this was a fault of my Webspace provider. How can that be when that works in Version 8 but not Version 10. I have gone back to Version 8 because I need the forms top work for my customers.
I would like to sort this, but I am nervous about buying the New version (version 11) just advertised, in case it does not work then.
Any ideas?

These functions use PHP for working. There is a part of PHP software on the host side and in X5.
Both need to be compatible. Offcource is in X5 V8 the php software of a lower version then in v10 and v11.
Check what is needed if you buy a program and see if your host supports it.
Sometimes you can select at your host what php software should be used. ( i can select for instance at my host of 3 versions) Check this also, this way you know if things will work or not.
