I'd like to build a simple ecommerce site, and have some questions:

1) How/where in the program can I include tracking code on the "thank you" page, i.e. the page a customer sees after placing an order?

2) Is "abandoned cart" in any way supported?

3) Where are the customer details and their order(s) details stored? And how can these be accessed?

4) After order placement, can progress emails be sent from from within the website, so that all information related to that order/customer is available? Or does that all need to be done outside the website?

Hello W. L,.

1) you will need to include the tracking code in the payment method by selecting custom payment code and then enter also the payment html code so both will be executed when the order is completed.

2) No there is no support for abbandoned cart.

3) The customers details and orders are not stored. They aresent via email to you but there is not a section where you can see all the orders form the same customer as example.

4) The program sends only the email containing the order to you an the client. Any furter email needs to be sent by you from outside the website.
