Hello Pim,

Open the page that you want to link the PDF file to, in Step 3 of WebSite X5.

You will see a drop-down menu on the right of the screen entitled 'Main objects'...  it is above the Text, Image, Table Objects, etc.

Open the drop-down menu and select the Widgets option.  You will see the PDF file widget which you can then drag onto your page.  Once on the page, double-click on the PDF widget to open its properties, where you can set the URL to link to, etc.

Kind regards,

Paul

Hello Pim,

If the PDF file is one of your own which is not already present on the internet then you can upload it to a location of your choice on your server using a freeware FTP client such as FileZilla:

https://wiki.filezilla-project.org/FileZilla_Client_Tutorial_(en)

N.B. copy and paste the above hyperlink to visit the page, instead of clicking on it...  as the formatting is broken!

The location on your server is not critical, but to keep everything neat and orderly you may want to create a sub-folder under your root folder specifically for documents such as this...  e.g. 'pdf'

In this case your 'Internet File' address shown in the PDF Widget properties screen would be as follows:

http://www.pimvandenberg.nl/pdf/the_name_of_your_uploaded_pdf_document.pdf

Hope that makes sense to you, but if not please ask again.

Kind regards,

Paul
