Identify Template Part  en

I need to ID a part of the template because I want to change the color.  I wouldn't mind getting rid of the design, either, but I can live with just changing the color.

See the attached image.  What is that steel blue area?  I can't figure how to change the color (if I even can.)  It was on the original default template I chose.

Russell,

It looks like the top left and buttom left parts with the white in it are a part of a picture for a vertical menu ( in the white space there you will find the menu of your site) It should run from top to bottem.

The middle part you changed to yellow. So it's not running all the way down any more.

Let me help you first a bit on template edditing.

If you click on the part you wish to change then that object will appear on the left side under Graphic properties. It can be a picture, if a file is seen in Image file then that is the picture, click on it and press delete to delete it. If you want to change the picture manualy you find it's location on your pc by using the right mouse button.

With the information above you should be on your way, but as far as I can see you took a template with vertical menu and changed in the menu type to horizontal, this means the white part will have no effect and the top where the horizontal menu comes has no nice background.

Before going to edit, decide if you wish to have a horizontal menu or vertical, then choose a template accordingly, you can set filters on top to select your style in the template selection area. Then you could fine tune the template more to your liking.

I hope this helps you get on your way, if you have more questions let us know. Don't hessitate to use the help as well in X5 it can also assist you (press F1 button for it).
