Best External Blog

My website is here (still in design):
I need an external blog and to publish a decent feed to that blog on the front page. Doesn't have to be the whole blog just HEaders, Date Published etc.
Can someone tell me the best blog to do this with.
The Website Evolution Blog doesn't do it for me - I must have the ability to update my blog remotely - i.e. away from the computer where I have the website design software installed.
I have tried wordpress and it just doesn't cut it their process is too insular.

the are namy thing for micro blog, the famous ones are Sharetronix, StatusNet, PageCookery, and Storytlr.
you would be able to use many of them for free.
Nuluhost has all of the free of charge.
