go back to v9, open the folder where the projects are stored and check if there is a backup.iwprj file

if you installed x5 in default setting, it should be inside my document>Incomedia>WebSite X5 v9 - Evolution> then you will see each of your projects as a folder, open your project folder, make a copy of project.iwprj, rename it to xxx, then open the project in v9, make a backup project with new name in a another folder and try to import the new project in v10.
