Hello Ole Andreas A,

It's generally not a good idea to attempt to use AVI media files on your website, for the very reason that you have just discovered: all visitors to your site will require a plugin to be able to view them.

Instead it is recommended that you convert your media files to MP4 format which will ensure maximum compatibility.  Please see this link in the help file for full details:

http://help.websitex5.com/en/v12/evo/index.html?ogg_video.htm

You can use freeware such as the following to convert your media files:

http://www.winxdvd.com/avi-to-mp4/

Kind regards,

Paul

Hello Paul,

Thank you for the answered. It was a step forward. But I am not on target yet.

I have loaded a video taken by my NIKON (AVI-format), after first converted it by winxdvd to mp4 format. It don't work on my website oleweb.eu.

I loaded another videoclip taken by my smartphone (MP4-format). I works well. The examples is on this link:

Regards

Ole Andreas

Yes, you are almost there.  When a video clip plays with sound but no picture (or vice-versa) then it is an indication that the codec used is not quite correct.  Incomedia provide further instructions here:

https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/post/53536

In this particular instance the frame rate was 24fps (with 6-channel audio)  -  I have converted this video for you to the correct format 29fps (stereo)  -  you can download it here for a limited period of time:

http://www.filedropper.com/dsc0087

When converting to MP4 in the future look for options in your software to encode to H.264/MPEG-4 AVC Video with AAC audio (or similar...  the important parts are H.264 and AAC)

Please let us know if we can help further in any way.

Best wishes,

Paul
