where is the photo gallery I can't find it

Picture library:
The button is next to the open button of the file open option inside almost everywhere where you can select a picture. This is if you mean to search for the picture library.
If you mean the object for several pictures then see that the the pulldown menu top right in the pages menu is set to main page contents. There is the gallery object (step4)
