Hello Joao,

It depends on the menu width. You can enlarge your menu buttons at step 4, in the menu options.

A tip about creating websites: Use short words for menus, your site accessibility will improve so much.

Hello Claudio

Thanks for the answer.

I know I can adjust "manual" menu with and height. But if I do that all bottons show the same heigt. In website x5 8 each botton automatic adjust to text.

I think it will be a nice option to have in a update.

I have another issue:

- when import a project V8 to V9 some images I have in text object don't appear.

Hello,

Are you sure those images are in the correct folder of your PC? I mean, if you open the same project using Evolution 8, do you see the pictures? If so, can you type here the path of one of those pictures?

I have a long menu and want to use as Horizantical. If button size auto adjust with text size, then my menu will fit in horizantical menu. Can you guide me how it is possible?

Joao, I can't see the first image on both http://dcsh.eb23-murca.rcts.pt/docentes-1.php and http://jmgg.eu/dcsh/docentes-1.php

On http://jmgg.eu/dcsh/contactos-1.html and http://dcsh.eb23-murca.rcts.pt/contactos-1.php I can see the images.

Seems more related to an issue of the project than to Evo 9. Reselect the missing images. Wink

The menu buttons does not auto adjust to content size. You must size them from step 4 of WSX5.

Did you try to reinsert the pictures in the text object? Seems that the software can't find them during the export.

In the text box, pictures are gone. Only see a space.

To reinsert the pictures I have a hard work. Version 9 should import from v8 but I can see it failed.

I suggest you to batch the v8 project. Simply go to step 5 of WebSite X5 V8, batch the project and then import it into v9 using the usual procedure. This should solve the image import issues.

Thank you!

I doubt theres much point in following your instructions Claudio due to the fact that its how the problem started in the first place.

I have a site built with V8 and when i've imported it from the batch folder the same problem occurs.

I did not find any option to adjust each menu button individually, all button size can be adjusted from set 4 but not individual button. please add auto adjust menu to text size. this is really must needed feature.

The button menu cannot be adjusted individually. All the buttons get the same size, like V8 did.

We'll check if there's an issue about the text-object while importing old projects and fix it if necessary. Wink

But

in V8: button menu automatic adjust to text

in V9 : button menu have to have a specific size

Can you, please, give us (in future update) a option to add auto adjust menu to text size.

I had the same problem; images inside a text object disappeared or were the wrong ones, check attached image , during import. They have been imported because they exist in the folder \\Project\Preview\images.

When I opened the text object to change to the correct image, there were no images.... so I had to start all over and insert both.

The strange thing is that this didn't occur in all text objects, just in some.

This is correct in v8: http://www.evasresor.se/info-5.html

Thank you guys for these info.

Can you attach your batched project files here? We'll try to convert them and check were the issue can be.

If the project files are too large, you can send them to file@answers.websitex5.com.

Hi,

That's not an issue. That's how the new version works. Wink

Because of some browsers (like IE7), the text must stay on a single line to permit the new effects (like the fade, slide ecc) to work correctly.

Thank you!
