Dynamic content not working (appearing) on some web pages  en

I have two pages with dynamic content, the 1st page has a single object that allows some users to change dates for an event; the 2nd page has several dynamic content objects to allow some users to change the data in any of the objects.

Problem is the 1st page works just as intended but the dynamic object on the 2nd page doesn’t appear on the uploaded web page, but does appear and work in the preview mode.  I cannot find any reason for the dynamic content objects to not work.  The pages are set as PHP, I have working logins, and the users are setup in Access Management.

Is there a problem with having multiple Dynamic Content Objects on the same web page and/or in the same row or column?

Any help or suggestions?

Well I got the Dynamic Content Objects to appear on my web page by recreating the objects.  I suppose they may have been corrupted somehow.

New problem. Whenever I enter information in one of the objects, it and all of the other dynamic object on the page are updated with the same info.  I want each object to be independent of each other.

Again, is there a problem with having multiple Dynamic Content Objects on the same web page and/or in the same row or column?

What am I missing?

All problems solved with my use of the Dynamic Content Object.

Do the following when creating a Dynamic Content Object:

  • In Access Management in the Advance Settings, add any users you want to access Dynamic Content Object(s).
  • Insert a Login/Logout object somewhere in your web site.
  • Insert a Dynamic Content Object on your desired web page.
  • Open the Dynamic Content Object and select the User(s) or User Group you want to have access to this Dynamic Content Object. Also enter the name of a folder to be created on host server to store the Dynamic Content Object data.  This is a folder that will store the data that is entered or updated in the Dynamic Content Object.
  • When closing the Dynamic Content Object, select "OK" to set the web page file extension as "php".  You can check to see the change in the Properties/Expert option for the page in the Map View.
  • In the Preview Mode you should now see your Dynamic Content Object with the default messege "Click here to edit the default text!", but don't replace the default messege with your data here.
  • Upload your web site to the web and view your webpage with the Dynamic Content Object to verify
  • Use the login you created earlier to logon and then you can add/update the default messege in the Dynamic Content Object.

My Dynamic Content Object wasn't working because I entered my initial data while viewing it the Preview Mode and not after it was uploaded to the web.  I don't think the online help stressed this point and seem to suggest you could enter your data in the Preview Mode.

Hope this post will keep someone from making the same mistake I made.
