I am having trouble understanding how to get my blog working.  I have created a blog in the advanced settings, dragged it from the special pages to the main menu but when it is all uploaded to my site (www.helloworcester.co.uk) there is nothing there when I click the blog button on the page.  I just get a HTTP 500 error message.  I have gone to http://www.mysite.com/admin and that page does not exist (Page Not Found - 404 Error Page The page you are looking for (http://mysite.com/admin) is not here.)

Am I missing something here?

In the help page (Step 4 Advanced Settings, Blog, I don't understand "Your Blog is published at the http//www.mysite.com/blog URL where http//www.mysite.com is that of the website with which the Blog is associated (your website)."   What exactly does this mean?

Thanks

Graham

Graham

I created a new project, in step 1 advanced. I clicked on Blog, gave it a title, description then clicked on add and created a log entry.

I then went to step 3 Map, I then created a new level and gave it the name BLOG. With it selected/highlighted I clicked on properties, selected website page as the link and then select my blog from special pages.

When I did a preview, my blog was listed as one of the menu options.

I have never dragged the blog from the special pages and suspect that may have caused your issue.

Let us know if this works for you?

Thanks Esahc..

My blog always shows up in preview.  I have also tried the steps you sugestion but to no avail.  When I upload my site to the net and it is live I still get the HTTP 500 error message.

Graham

I have uploaded my test project (with nothing but the blog I created) and it works as expected.

I have requested Incomedia to advise what to check and how to check to resolve your issue, I suspect it is something to do with php support, but this is sadly beyond my know-how.

(I will take notes so I can be of more assistance in similar cases in future :-)

I have also tried to do this as well at http://www.blog.gmuk.org but with the same results.  It works with the preview fine but not live.  I just don't get it.

Thanks for your advice, help guidance.

Cheers

If you don't know how find info about php, you can ask your hoster.
