Unasked for hamburger button menu after update

I opened the program today, installed the latest update and opened an existing project - before starting work I loaded the preview window and found that the menu (vertical, left hand side) is now a 'hamburger button' which I hate. I have not changed anything so why is this happening? I am now unable to do any work that needs uploading as I do not want this menu to appear on our live website. Responsive design is not enabled (and never has been).

There must have been an update on the template or a correction that caused this.
The width of the menu is too small (make it bigger in the template), or the width of the menu itself is too big (make it smaller)
In the case it does not fit, x5 automaticlt switches too the hamburgermenu.
Just adjust one of these and you will be fine.

In this way you will se the normal menu in the desktop resolution. Have a lovely day.

Thank you - I increased the width of the menu by a few points and it now displays as it did previously.
(I had already tried reducing the menu margins with no success).
