I am using cPanel as my hosting provider and have aquired an SSL certificate for the entire website only (no wildcard). Following an answer of Claudio D. to Hakan S. I changed the URL in step 1 to https://www.lifeleap.co.uk and uploaded it to the server. However nothing has changed, it is still a http address, even after clearing the cache.
I would have used the thread for this question, but I did not find any way to do so and found nothing on the help section for this.

Ludwig,
the https adress is another adress then http.
If you have uploaded to http, and later to https then you have 2 sites online!
delete the http if you don't want this to show up anymore, but it is better to clean it up (remove all files from server this you can do after connection and then delete al files with button on top in x5)
and then set a link to transfer all visitors to the https adress. you can do this normaly in your portal from your webhost, or use an .htacces file for this.
I can explain how that works but there are way better explainations on how to use the .htacces file at your providers FAQ section or search internet for it.

Thank you, I'll get to it as soon as I can.

Hi Andre, I tried it, got the redirection error and have been searching for the .htaccess file on my root folder. It is shown in the search results of cpanel, but when I look for it in the indicated folder, I can't find it. I'll contact cpanel, but if you ahve an idea, let me know please, too. Thank you.
