Hello,
Can you use cinemagraphs in website x5 version 13 or 14?
Are there templates who use it all ready?
Greetings,

Assuming we are talking about the same things (animated gifs), then yes WX5 supports them. I see you have V10, V11 & V12, I would assume that at least V12 would also support cinemagraphs, and if so, V14 certainly.
If this is not the case, please advise and if possible provide an example as an attachment.
Hello Remco,
No unfurtunatly not.
But it would be a great IDEA. It is definatly a very nice extra feature.
Can you make an IDEA post for Incomedia so they might create this option in future releases?
and btw, you can offcource embed them in a html box.
Best Regards
Hello Remco
Taken from this site : https://www.hongkiat.com/blog/cinemagraph/
I tried to put the file in an image-object. Here : http://www.bramminginfo.dk/brm02/side-75.html
I have earlier encountered problems when using gif-images, when used as local files, and then had to use the URL-option, but it seems that both functions for this file (gif ).
As Esahc write - if it is something else you mean, then please an example or a link.

Hello,
Funny :) three different answers! But thanks annyway!
@ John: What you showed is what I mean.
So I have to use image object?
http://www.bramminginfo.dk is made in website x5. Which version?
@ Esahc: I am planning on buying V14, to make better one-page websites (incl. cinemagraphs)
@ Andre: It looks like it works anyway. Or do you mean something else?
Greetings,
Remco
@ Remco,
Yes it works with GIF extensiom but this is not the way to go for if you want true cinemagraphics.
There is a lot of discution on this topic. Gif can only holdup 256 colours, and take longer to load so on mobile's people won't be happy due to loading time (bandwidth goes sky high with best possible graphics in gif.) it is not recomended, but as already stated there are a lot of discussions.
In my humble opinion gif is not the way to go. But yes John is correct it works with gif.
Check here: http://blog.flixel.com/gifs-vs-hd-cinemagraphs/for comparison see below comparisons
(it's almost 3x smaller in size, has 3x faster framerate way over 4000 times more colourpixels,
and the picture itself is more then twice the size of the GIF).
And yes flixel is offcource trying to sell there products... but look at it, it's amazing quality.
For true cinemagraphics, see also here some exaples: https://flixel.com/cinemagraphs/fresh
So if we would be able to use flixel in the row format in x5, that would be just incredible for your website!
Jus be aware a good cinemagraph picture, costs a lot at this moment, and takes a lot of time and fancy equipment to create.
But this wil become better if the use of it on internet goes up.
You already see it on some site's and I hope to see way more of these, and again, if x5 would be one of the first to implement this, (instead of implementing it when it is already used all over) then it would be a great asset for the users of x5 and there site's!
Best Regards,
sorry could not resist, look at it, just WOW.

I just can't stop watching....
Here a same kind of article: http://blog.flixel.com/cinemagraphs-vs-gifs/
Check also the responsive reactions between the example of John and the ones from flixel. (No bad intensions to you John..... )
Yes, yes I will quit now.
Hello Remco
The site ( it is only a testsite ) is made with ver. 14 PRO. There is at the moment nothing on the site that could not have been made with ver. 14 Evolution.
Even if GIF is an "old" -timer, it is still going strong. It is correct that if you want a big image, then GIF is not the right choice maybe. At the moment I will still suggest using GIF. There are software that can be used to create good GIF's.
The "secret" is to have a still-background and only an area that is "moving".
+1
Cinemagraph pictures cost a lot at this moment??
Sounds like I'll be using gifs! :-)
However - the cinemagraphs are stunning, even if a little slow to complete loading, it would be wonderful if there was native support for them under row formats.
Hello Esahc
If you want something in the row-formats, you could simply use a video ( can also be a HD ).
You can see an example here : http://www.bramminginfo.dk/brm02/
scroll down to the bottom. This functions better as a GIF or Cinematograph.
I have another example here : http://c4dshow.com/
You have to find a video without sound. Or make a video without sound.
Kind regards
John S.
I forgot - this is totally free :-)
And YouTube has a lot of space.
@ Esahc,

don't look at the price if you are not sitting down.
That's why gif as John say's is not so bad, but the quality and speed of these pictures attracts me big time.
And that's why flixel incorporated (like pixabay) would be asome in x5.
But I don't think it is do-able at the moment.
If you never try you won't get things done ever.
At that price, I too can live without that level of quality.
yeah absolutely, but as stated it will come down i am sure of it, and we will see it more and more.
So in some distance future we might have it with that quality in x5, for now I will keep it to a steady picture.
But if you search maybe you will find them cheaper or even some for free. I never looked that far.
