X5 14 Free installs OK but wont allow creation of new project

Have installed X5 Free 14 on both my computers, laptop and desktop, both fully updated W10, with same result. It appears to install OK and let's me register and activate, then set my file location in preferences, then I press start and.... nothing! It won't let me create a new project and of coourse as yet I have no existing projects I can open. The only link that seems to do anything is the back arrow to the previous page. Any ideas?

Peter, does it work if you don't change the default file location?
(unfortunately I am not familiar with X5 V14 free and do not know the limitations, was it on a magazine or is there a website link??)

Can you send me a screenshot of what happens?
If you select Create New Project and you press the green arrow on the upper right does it work?
