Updating a Website, changing the layout, I get a message "Updating Responsive Site"

Hi, I know there must be a fix for this. I am upgrading a website to be more mobile friendly. I added my elements for images and text. When I click the element to add the image or text I get this message.
"Updating Responsive Grid" and it lasts for hours, freezes up my computer. Seems like I ran into this problem before. Is it a simple fix? Here is a screen shot

Hello Rob,
To help you better and to have more possibilties here in the helpdesk please add your licence topr right in pulldown next to your name -> licences.
X5 runs better if your page is filled with objects, dont use empty spaces, so delete everything below 9 and make the top objects as wide as you can. If you want space on the top objects use the style button and make the margins bigger.
This should help a lot, if all failes, set responsive off, then create page further, after that set responsive on again.
