I'm the webmaster for a non-profit organization and have used WebSite for a couple of years to develop and maintain the group's website. Now they want me to create another site with a new URL for their birdwatching group. We have the new domain registered through the same hosting company and they tell me I would be using the same server. I created a placeholder for the new site in X5 and entered the same parameters in the Export step. But when it makes the connection, it shows all the folders and files for the existing site. Will uploading the placeholder index.html overwrite the existing (current site) index.html? Thank you.

hello Kling
Yes - you cannot upload to the same URL.
What you could do, is to make a subfolder.
Then upload to this subfolder.
Look here : http://www.bramminginfo.dk
This is the "normal" url to a site.
In the root for the site is created a subfolder brm02
If you look at this link : http://www.bramminginfo.dk/brm02/
You will see a site. This is a complete site, but just in a subfolder.
Hope it is clear what I try to tell you.

Hello, John. Thank you for your reply and your example. Let me share more information. Our main site is http://www.iwralliance.org. Our second site will be http://www.detroitriverhawkwatch.org. I have a subfolder with that name in the main site's tree. But if I upload to it, I'll have content at <iwralliance.org/detroitriverhawkwatch>, and that's not what I want. I think I will do more research. Thank you again. - Andrew
If you have two domains, then you should also be able have both sites in the root, and no need for subfolders.
You have to check your settings for the upload. If you have not changed the URL in the project then...
Use Filezilla to check the contents of the domains.
It seems that you have been able to upload something to http://www.detroitriverhawkwatch.org
