Please help!!
I have had the software uninstalled for a while. I reinstalled today on Windows 10. I try to open my project file and I get this Project Loading Error- Safe handle has been closed.
I desperately need this file to open so I can change the host details.
Thanks

Hi Abi.
I'm sorry to hear that you're getting this error. This is a pretty old error which might still happen on older version such as 12.
I will try to help you recover the project, altough there is no guarantee that this can work. Please follow the upcoming procedure:
Please send me all project files, so I can check if it is possible to recover it. Go to the project folder, which is usually under C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\Incomedia\WebSite X5 - Evolution 12(yourusername refers to your Windows account) and create a zipped file of the whole project folder, then upload it online using this service: https://wetransfer.com/ . Finally, select the link generation and write it here, so I can download the file.
Keep me posted here once that is taken care of
Thank you

Hi Abi.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any real issue with your Project. I simply copied the folder into the folder with all my projects and I could get it to open just fine. Have you tried to simply restart the pc then?
Alternatively, can you try deleting your current project folder and copying this one you sent me back in? Maybe just doing that will get your project working once again
Please try this and keep me posted
Thank you

No it still doesn't work. Same error. Is there a way I can download a trial version of the latest software and see if it will open on that?
Thanks

It does it with all my files. I didn't check them before but just have now. Could it have been an update that did something to my program? Maybe I will try uninstalling it and reinstalling it.
Hi Abi.
Please do try and do that. Just be careful to backup all of your websites first.
Reinstall the software, then try and place the same folder you sent me back into the project's folder, and start the software up.
I didn't have any issue getting it to boot up.
Let me know if you manage to get it to work
Thank you
Stefano
