Hi,

I changed my computer and download again the website x5 professional 11.

Now I can not open the project, because the professional 11 don't recognize the backup.iwprj file, even if this file is made with professional 11.

My website: http://www.vanzaricaini.com

What can I do, or how can You help me?

Thank You

Regards, Jakab Zoltan

  1. Jakob, the backup in WX5 is a misnomer. If you wish to restore to a new PC you need (nearly) all folders and files in the v11 folder.
  2. If you still have access to the old PC, the simplest process is export project, then copy the iwzip to new PC and open WX5  then import.

Jakab, do you still have access to your old computer? If so (and it still works) run WX5 and open your project then go to step 5 export and export project. This will create the iwzip file you require.

If the PC (HD) is not running you will need to connect the HD to your new PC via a USB adapter or cradle (these are not very expensive) and then you could copy your whole Incomedia folder (normally in your documents folder) onto a USB stick and transfer it to the same place on the new PC. Your project should open on the new pc.

If you do not have access to the old PC and only have the iwprj file, you will need to recreate your website. Assuming it is online it should be relatively fast to copy and past content from the web display to WX5, although I note there is a lot of content, so I do not envy your task.
