I am having somewhat frequent error messages when I try to save my project. See the screen shot below.
What does this error message mean, and how can I get around it?
Fortunately, I make sure to save an iwzip version of my project about every hour, so all is not lost. However, this BUG is still a pain in the rear.
Website X5 has the potential to be a very good application, however, there are far too many bugs and unresolved issues. This is the main reason I did NOT continue my "Update Protection."

Can it really be that no one else has experienced this problem?
No issues for me, Myron. I also save regular IWZIP's on my NAS drive.
Myron, is it possible that you are using a synchronised folder for backup or cloud storage?

Not possible at all.
All files related to this project, including the project, are on my C:\ drive.
Hi Myron,
We had seen a few months ago that backup was impossible if there was too much space on the destination path of the file... May be?
C:\ drive (space after \ ...)
J.P.
Myron, if you import your project from an up-to-date iwzip and then work on it, is the problem resolved?
(it sounds like windows has locked a file in your project)

Jiper 85: Your suggestion makes absolutely no sense to me.
Esahc: As I said in my original post, I can recover my project from any of the previously saved iwzip files, which I make every hour or so. However, when the BUG comes up, there is no way to recover from it, and I lose all my new work within that latest project.
As of yesterday, I am saving iwzip files even more frequently, about every 20 minutes. That way, I won’t lose as much work if the current project happens to become corrupt again.
Hi Myron,
This error you're reporting seems more like some kind of error that Windows is returning for some specific file as soon as the software tries to perform some operation on it.
It looks like this file, as Esahc mentioned, is being either checked, or kept under control in some way by some other software or application, which sort of locks it from being used elsewhere, and thus contributes in presenting this issue when you're trying to save your project.
I would suggest investigating what else is running on your computer when the issue happens, so that we might have a clearer idea of what could be happening, since this seems to be a very peculiar case.
Please keep me posted on this should you find anything useful on it as mentioned by me
Thank you
Stefano
Myron, is there any chance that if you temporarily disable or uninstall your antivirus/spyware that the problem could cease?
I mention this because as you know most packages rely on identifying strings of code as a first line of defence to identify problem files. In WX5 the library.xml file that is frequently updated and modified is absolutely full of what appears to be random strings used to identify files, photos, etc.
If your site is content rich (photos/pdfs/music/etc) it is not hard to imagine that a random id generated by WX5 could be misidentified and temporarily locked from write access.
My only other thoughts on your problem at this time is the possibility of slow HD response. I have an SSD as my primary drive which is only about 12 months old. Recently WX5 became unresponsive when attempting some previews and on a couple of occasions when saving (although strangely selecting "backup now" always worked). In my case if I was patient the program always recovered eventually, but I was pleased to solve the problem by running chkdsk c: /r from an admin command prompt. If (like I do) you have a secondary drive where my documents, incomedia et al are saved, you may also wish to run this command on this drive.
