Suggestion for Shop Products "General" tab in Product Settings  en

Hello,

I am wanting to make a suggestion that I am hoping will be considered and implemented in Website X5.  Allow me to explain my situation and why I am also requesting this as an IDEA for consideration in the near future.

I am trying to recreate two of my websites in X5, one of which has over 500 digital downloadable products, and my other one which has over 900 digital download instrumentals that I have produced and have on my original site so far.

Currently with my older website and the editor I used, the way the Shopping Cart / Pages were created, it would automatically create a webpage for each product to purchase, so that when you click on the Name, it would relay the information from the database and would pull up the webpage for that specific object for more information, details, etc.

However, with X5, I notice that unless I actually manually create an individual page for each product, that this is not at all possible.  This puts my project in a rather tedious situation of having to manually create over 500 (or 900 for the other site) pages to then link each one within the "General" tab of the Product Settings for each product, to that page.  What's worse, if I decide to add a promotional sign to each product's page, then when I'm ready to take down that promotional image or to change it, I would then have to go within 500 (or 900) product detail pages that I manually made, to change each one.  I noticed also that there's no easy way to change or replace "Objects" in a bulk manner, and that everything would have to be done manually.

What I am suggesting at least with regards to individual pages for each product, is to consider creating a "Product URL" within the "General" tab of the Product Settings so that we can create the URL.  The "Description" could then also allow us more details to enter information, and so on.

In short, I am suggesting that the "Description" section of the "General" tab of "Product Settings" (for each item we create) functions similarly to the "Description" box of the Blog page, and that the "General" tab settings also has a "Product URL" similar to the way the Blog works.  The only thing I would of course request to make sure of, is that we can change between using the box as a WYSIWYG editor, and also toggling to HTML mode, so that we can properly add coding for Audio Players, Video Players, etc.  I notice with the BLOG description box, that if I plug in HTML code, that the Audio Player appears, but that nothing plays at all, yet the same exact code plays within the Description box of the product card.

I suggest the BLOG type model for the shopping page in that it creates cards like the shopping page does, but the name automatically becomes clickable by creating the "Blog URL" for each post, which will then create its own page based on everything in the Description Box.  I think this would make things easier with regards to creating individual shopping pages for each product.  I know the schematics are hard though and in the end, it may be that the only way to make sure the Shopping Cart works properly is by making an individual page for each product as well as a Category page for all of the products in that category collectively.

I am just trying to think of other suggestions or alternatives that would keep the functionality of the Shopping Cart and ADD to Cart working no matter what page you go to, along with the ease of creating individual pages for each product as well as its respective category page.

Any insight into this suggestion is greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance for considering this.
