I took the liberty of moving your post to your own topic since you're using a version which is different from the one the other user is using.

In order to add font in your case, you can enter whatever Text Object, and click on the Font selection field.

There, you will have the possibility to either add a new font through Google Fonts, or by manually adding the appropriate font files:
