Recently, I was asked to create a new version of this existing website:

https://www.calgaryprolife.com/

Using Website X5 Professional, I created the following revised site:

https://www.adita.com/cpl/index.html

The client told me that he prefers the original site because he feels it is easier to navigate. What do you think, and which site do you prefer?

Thank you.

Hi Myron A,

Having looked at both sites, I much prefer the revised site  https://www.adita.com/cpl/index.html it has a lot more impact and I find it easy to naviagate. My only comment would be that I am not a fan of the header page bouncing up and down, I prefer it to be fixed and static, but that's just me, really good site though.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for your feedback.

I removed the “sticky bar” as per your suggestion.

Hi Myron A,

It looks really good now that you have removed the "sticky bar", I always find the "sticky bar" a distraction when it bounces when you move up or down a page, when it does that it looks like an fault.

I think the revised site looks much better and I don't see a problem with navigation. Maybe he feels the original website is easier to navigate because he's used to it.

Hello Myron

Some suggestions :

- I find the "Donate button" a kind of intrusive. How about a separate page for donations? I think it will give the page a cleaner look - and/or the button in the footer.

- The image on the homepage. As you have also text you could make it a slideshow - not too quick shift. While people read they could see the shift. Or make the image fill more of the screen, and then have a textobject with text that shifted (faded in/out ) between some headlines.

- For navigation I like the sticky-menu - but I would like an option to have the menu fixed instead. I did not see the menu with sticky menu.

- I would suggest that you make some different versions in subfolders. This way it will be easier to compare examples, and eventual pick the elements that people like, in the project in the root.

I like both versions, but the original maybe, seems a bit minimalistic.

Oh - and the donate disappears on mobiles - that could be a point for moving it.

On mobile the originals minimalistic design ( less text/images ) maybe functions better.
