The whole store part is a bit of a weak point in X5 (my opinion).
There are very few "built-in" payment solutions. If you want to accept credit cards basically there is at the moment only a dutch provider (open a test account, their frontend doesn't look too professional I'm afraid), a russian one, a british one and a south american one. Paypal stopped their "plus" thing recently (no more credit card without opening a paypal account), AmazonPay is not what everybody wants.

I think it would help if the X5 team would put some step-by-step examples of cusom code implementation for a few major payment providers of each region.
Yes I could put that as an "idea" but I can't remember that any idea was ever really replied to or picked up by the developers in the last years ;-)

If you had an "older" PayPal Plus merchant account the PayPal payment page offers the possibility without registering.

A new PayPal account looks the same on the first sight, the customer enters the credit card details but at the end there is so "Pay" but a "Register PayPal" button. -> you have to register a PayPal account in the payment procedure. Not everybody wants that.

It could be that not in every country this is the same but this is what I was explained by PayPal customer support...

Oh My God... Thank you  guys for your responses!

I'm new to e-commerce and now I'm totally confused.surprised I live in US, have my PayPal account and I am using it on daily basis for payments. No problem with that. Usually merchants ask you to click on "PayPal now" button, and after logging in you just "send money". Now I wanted to implement this process in the web page I'm working on. But I don't think I'm ready for that...

Is there a place where I could get more information on how to set PayPal (or venmo) in WSX5?

If you simply want to receive normal PayPal payments the buitlin PayPal works fine!
Only drawback X5 has here is that the order confirmation gets sent before the "Pay Now" is klicked. So any customer not clicking on "Pay" still gets an order confirmation.

Thanks, Dieter.

I used built in PayPal and looks like I got it! Hopefully, Incomedia will fix the glitch you are talking about.

Thanks!
