some images are more cropped than others even if the image is a smaller size than one which is not cropped. Images displayed in a grid format are not consistent in their grid position. I have sized all images to 900px in height and yet some are more cropped than others.
As can be seen in the attachment the first two images are equally cropped yet the second image is only 236 x 300px compared to the first image size at 708 x 900px
How do I make the image in the grid to show in full height as in the original image?

Hello.Try to bring all images to the same width and height.For example 1920 x 1080.

you are correct. found the key is to have all images with the same aspect ratio to avoid cropping. different sizes is ok but aspect ratio is important.
as my images are of different aspect ratios I had to create backgrounds to equalize all aspect ratios.

just a point on my previous note:
different sizes with the same aspect ratio avoids cropping but it's best to have all images the same size for a better visual display.
