Hello, I have installed to upgrade to EVO 2019.3.11. My web sites were previously EVO 2019.2 All of my web sites upgraded without a problem except one of them. It seems to get hung up at craeting project files at 25% and goes no further. I've let it run for 24 hours but it never gets past the 25%. I have tried using copies of 2019.2 and have had no luck. The web site is a private web site.
I have never had a conversion problem before and the web site worked perfectly under the old version.

Andrew, open WX5 2019.2 and open the recalcitrant project.
Go to step 5 export project (this will create an iwzip file).
Close v2019.2 and open WX5 v2019.3 and select import.
Did that fix the issue??
(if v2019.2 will not open you need to go to your profile and download v2019.2. Incomedia overwrite the older version with each new release, but after the event they replace the older version with a modified version that can co-exist)

Thank you for your quick response. I did as you instructed. I downloaded and installed V2019.2. What a relief that it allows me to continue working on the web site. I exported the site creating the iwzip file. I then closed V2019.2 and started V2019.3. I deleted the web site from V2019.3 and imported the newly created iwzip file. The import worked perfectly. When I tried to open the site the same problem occured. This time creating project files went to 17% after 10 minutes. Several hours later it was still at 17% and never improved. While I'm glad I can at least work the site under the V2019.2 version, I would still like to have it work under the latest V2019.3 version with my other sites. The issue is not fixed, I appreciate any new help.. Thank you,,
Andrew, to check if the fault is in v2019.3 or the project, please run 2019.2 and select import then open your new iwzip file. Does the project open from 2019.2 and run correctly?
NB IMPORTING THE PROJECT WILL NEVER OVERWRITE THE EXISTING PROJECT ( it creates a new version). There is no need to delete the existing project when importing.

Again, I thank you for your fast response and willingness to help me out. I did as you said, The project opened and ran perfectly. In fact the whole process of import to creating project files to work the site took less than 10 minutes. As you said it created a new version.
I guess we can assume that there is a problem with this site and V2019.3
I appreciate you working with me on the weekend, I hope you can find time to relax a bit.
By the way another thing I did when trying to open in the file in V2019.3 I got the message that it would be upgraded to the new version and it also asked if I wanted to create a copy. I tried it with making a copy and tried it without making a copy. Doesn't make any difference. I don't know if this helps or not.
Thank you,, Andrew
Andrew, if I occasionally contribute to fixing a problem with WX5 I find it very relaxing :-)
I guess the next thing to try is to disable (preferrably temporarily uninstall) all 3rd party malware, antivirus, firewall and vpn products.
If the project loads on import we then just need to identify the culprit and add exceptions.
Enjoy.

SUCCESS!!!! I did another export on V2 and did another import on V3 and it now works quite well.
Thank you Thank you,,,,, Have a great weekend,,,,Andrew
Andew, congratulations.
For what it's worth, if you were able to install without removing 3rd party software I would check the hard disk as a precautionary measure.
Open a CMD prompt as administrator
type chkdsk c: /r
(just in case there is a faulty sector where WX5 was trying to write)

I checked it out and all appears in order. Thank you for that suggestion though as it's a good precautionary step.
I thank you again so much for your help,,, I do appreciate it.
I wish you a Happy New Year filled with good health, happiness, prosperity and success.. Andrew
