Seit Update zu Jahresbeginn auf Evo habe ich alles x-fach in meinem Ordner Pics, etc.?

stelle gerade folgendes fest:
Wenn ich etwa in meinen Ordner Pictures sehe, dann sind seit dem Upgrade zu Jahresende / Jahresanfang 2020 alles x-fach vorhanden.
Das betrifft etwa die von mir verwendetetn Foto, siehe Screenshot:
Das ist also das gleiche Foto, nur am Ende steht jedes Mal eine seltsame Kombination von Buchstaben und Zahlen. Überschlagsartig gezähl habe ich jedes Bild 10 Mal?
Noch viel schlimmer ist es bei Elementen, aus denen sich die Homepage aufbaut. Da ist jedes Element noch viel öfters vorhanden. Geschätzte 30 Mal pro Element. Siehe Screenshot:
FRAGE: Kennt jemand das Phänomen? Wie ist das entstanden?
Und vor allem: Wie bekomme ich das wieder weg?
Wie entscheide ich, welches Element benötigt wird und welches ich problemlos löschen kann, ohne dass es auf der Homepage doch irgendwo gebraucht wird?

Mag, I assume you looked in the picture folder on your webserver. If so you can delete them all if you wish and then do an upload. Unless you are unlucky (there is a bug in some projects that apparently won't remove old images even though they are no longer used) there will only be one (or 2 if a thumbnail is required) of each image after the upload.
I have a number of galleries and I am inclined to copy those gallery objects in order to create alternative views and often limited content, this duplication results in multiple versions of images left on the server (wx5 replaces and adds, but it does not remove during FTP). I have found that version changes can also create new file names on export and therefore duplicates. Once a year or so I delete all online content and do a full upload of the sites to clear out the unnecessary files and objects.
