1.Is it possible to change the text color when I create a hotlink...it turns out magenta automatically...which I do not like! 2. How can I edit the text/name of the links created by the sitemap when I click on 'New Site' ?

You can change your link style in Step 4 - Styles and models. Here you can customize them. If this is not exactly what you are trying to do, please add a screenshot! Thank you!
