Hey :)
I made my site on my Macbook (Bootcamp) and all previews looked great, from mobile up to full desktop.
Unfortunately, on my partners laptop and my parents laptop, everything is squashed?
Their both at 1368x768, yet on my (retina display) all versions look fine with the viewport checker?
So my problem is, my beautiful site will look bad to everyone who has an older laptop :(
www.ohchip.com.au is the site - can I get some help?
Thanks in advance.
I'm using latest Evo software

Steve, which browser are you using on the laptops? Can you try either Chrome or Firefox (or even the new Microsoft Edge)? The age of the laptop shouldn't matter, but the age of the browser (eg Internet Explorer) does.
I looked at your site and it looks great both on my PC (at any resolution) and my android phone.

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me. Even in the software its putting one word on each line :(
(In the landscape view)
I tried using the non responsive setup, with just the optimized desktop display at 1300 but it doesnt work on my iphone now - its tiny.
I will post a pic of how bad the responsive view is in a minute

As you can see from the attached, all viewports work apart from the landscape (which is how it appears on the other laptops) one is Firefox and the other Chrome by the way.

Can't seem to uploads multiple photos from my phone, but all other viewports work fine?

It is squashing and responsive like the others? This page is the same:

I think the problem might lie here? It's as if the software doesn't shuffle the tiles on top of each other like it does perfectly with the phone view for example...
Now I understand (I think :-)
Steve, that is easy to fix! You need to add breaks between objects so that for narrow resolutions you can decide how many "columns" will be side by side on the page and the order.
You are almost in my time zone, you will find my phone number and contact details here, I can ring you back if you wish https://www.esahc.com
If I really don't understand, please let me know. Perhaps a screen shot of the problem on the old laptops?
BTW You did clear the cache on each laptop (ctrl+F5)??

I think we are on the same page ha ha. My software must be older(?) as mine doesn't look like that. More importantly - I don't have the "Line Breaks" option (in any viewport) The one I've pictured, coincidentally DOES have wierd red lines, none of the other views have them - maybe that's the issue?
I do have the responsive button, just different...
And here's what I can see...
ciao !
sorry @Esahc, but in Evo version the line breaks are automatic...
in Pro version you can add the line breaks where you need ...

Quite right Claudio - my bad!!!
(my apologies for offering incorrect advise Steve)

Oh no :( So I can't fix it?
I've bought X5 10, 12, 13, 17 & 19 so far (I have another account stevieboy777) and to get this to work I have to buy another update/version? I only just bought this one I think - last 12 months anyway...
Steve, am I correct in assuming that on the old laptops the best they can see is the Viewport1 layout?
If this is the case, have you considered setting the desktop resolution to 1100 or 1200 (I most often use 1024) to accomodate older laptops?
You only need to upgrade to pro if you wish to use the pro features. Unfortunately the upgrade is quite a jump in price and if this is the only pro feature you require probably not justified, but under your profile (top right) you will see offers, sometimes they are good.

Hey :)
I'm actually moving house at the moment, so I probably should get on with that, rather than this.
I'll update the laptops and also try a few other devices when I get a bit more time. If it's still not working properly, maybe I'll end up buying the Pro version/wait for a special price to be advertised.
I appreciate all of your help though! You can close this off if you like.
Have a lovely evening!
One possibility to accomodate ANY screen width is to use the extend feature, but this would require you to drop the columns and only have rows (one object per row). This example has most rows set to extend. https://harvestingrainwater.com.au/
