Database connection for available products

Hi,
we have a shop on our website for used products. So when one is bought, it should disappear or not be available anymore.
We have a problem with the Database setup. We set up the Database settings and activated sending order to "Send data to a Database". After that we created a test product with a "Available quantity" of 1 and it created an entry in the database. After that we had the problem that when we tried to add it to the basket, it stayed empty. At this point we can't see what the application is doing. Hope someone can help.

Check PHP version on the hosting. I recommend 7.2.
