Sometimes the program freezes when, for example, placing a text block or table. I have to end the program with task management and restart everything. Sometimes it is solved but often the problem remains when placing a text block again. I use X5 Evo 2019.3.14 on a windows 10 laptop with an Intell I7 ninth generation processor with 32gb internal memory.

There are a number of possibilities, but when exactly does the program freeze?
This is frequently caused by empty cells. If your page or pages have empty cells, please place an object in each (eg text object), there is no need to put any content in the object. There should be no empty cells (or empty rows) on any page. Please save the project, close WX5 and restart, then do a ctrl+preview to refresh the whole project preview.
If filling empty cells does not resolve the problem, could you temporarily disable your 3rd party antivirus, malware, firewall or VPN software. If this solves the problem then exclusions can be added so the 3rd party software does not interfere.
If the problem is still not resolved, please confirm that you are only working locally (not across a network or off external drive) and you are not allowing one-drive or similar to synchronise or backup the folder.
Please advise how you fare.

Esahc,
Thank you for your quick reply.
Yeah, I have a lot of empty lines in my design. See appendix.
For example, I have a text file in line 9 where I enter article references. That field is filled with new lines each time I design the page and finally I want to place it at the bottom of the webpage. In this example, lines 1 and 2 are filled in and I want to place a new text block in line 3. When I open that text block and want to edit it, sometimes the program freezes and waiting for a long time won't help. Then all that remains is a hard stop in task management.

See the picture.

Just add an object (I used text) to fill any empty cells (you can always resize it to add real content during editing)
Better still, do not add unnecessary rows, just add them as required. This example will look exactly the same as the above layout in preview.

Esahc,
I have now filled in all existing empty cells and the problem seems to have been solved. So I just filled in cells with a text block and that block did not get any real text. So it indeed seems to work like this and I want to thank you for the great tip. Greetings from the Netherlands, Ronald
