It was mentioned in a reply of mine earlier that the jQuery3.0 (currently) what is being used in X5 evo, will it be updated jQuery (version 3.5.1) due to vulnerabilities. If so and for this to happen, will this be a auto update or will I have to purchase the new improved version of X5?

Joe, support for jQuery v 3.5.1 (when offered) will only be available by updating to the newest version of WX5. You will need an active license (nee update protection).
Hello.jQuery has been updated in WebSite X5 2020.3.0 to version 3.5.1. But 2020.3 is beta. There is no stable version yet.
"will this be a auto update or will I have to purchase the new improved version of X5?" - As far as I know, you will need an active license to receive program updates.

Am I correct in my thinking that an active license is what I have when I purchased the web software from you? It's what I'm currently using for for website and I do receive updates periodically.
Joe, go to your profile (top right this page). Download will indicate and make available the latest version you can download and install and "my licenses" will give you the activation code.
If it has been less than 12 months since your last payment to Incomedia (for WX5) you will be entitled to download and install the latest version.

2 things:
1) what is the cost of the renewal license,
2) I've been trying to get a look at the demo copy of X5 pro for sometime now and for whatever reason, I can't receive the email that is need to allow me to get into the program to see if it's something I would really like. Please don't send the link to get it started, but send me HOW I can get the ability to download X5 pro, ... please.
Joe, under your profile there is a heading Offers, there may well be a discount available to you here. I am not aware of any "Demo" offers ever being made via email. There are offers made to users with an active license to try the "Beta" versions occasionally.
Please be aware that if you purchase the current version (WX5 v2020.3 with jquery 3.5.1 has not yet been released) there is a 30 day money back guarantee.
Joe, in case this is of use, I received notification of a new version today. When I checked the changelog i found it had a demo offer.

The problem that exists is that I am not able to receive the code or what is necessary to download the demo version. I'm wanting to see what the pro version is all about. What little I've been to locate, it's something that I have a real interest in getting.
Another thing, what is this license? I was under the assumption that once you've purchased the software you have the necessary license, never expires. From what I'm reading it isn't so. What is the annual cost of a license. Sounds like you get no more updates after a year, but can use the software. I see nothing about this anywhere on the website.
Joe, this is the pricing I am offered from new (not upgrade).
https://www.websitex5.com/en/pricing.php
Once you purchase you have the right to use the software forever (the version you purchase or upgrade to during the first 12 months will never expire), but if you wish to continually have the latest version you need to renew your license every 12 months (usually at a significant discount).
As I stated above, there is a 30day money back guarantee. If it was me I would purchase Evolution and see if it meets your needs (unless the above link identifies something you require in the professional version).
First, download the jquery-3.5.1.min.js from https://jquery.com/download/ (the compressed and complete production version).
Rename jquery-3.5.1.min.js to jquery.js
in /Res carpet of your web/x5 project replace the jquery.js (/RES/jquery.js =3.0 by that you download jsquery.js renamed). Et Voila! Magic! You have the jsquery 3.5.1 installed and working! You save 199€!

Be good!
WebSite X5 has already been updated to use jQuery 3.5.1 - this happened with the introduction of version 2020.3
My Version is 2020.1.14 PRO version and this version use jquery 3.0 (version with vulnerabilities) and i going not to pay 199€ more for this (basic) update.
