Redirect http to https
Autor: John B.I need to manually redirect http to https. My host is HostGator, and they have a YouTube video showing how to force redirect to https. However the file they want me to edit doesn't exist in my File Manager: .htaccess doesn't exist. This is the YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYXcWehz6X0
I wondered perhaps the reason this file doesn't exist is because X5 Evo does this for me? HostGator said:
CMS Software Redirects
Many website scripts, such as WordPress, already use methods to force your site to use a single specific base URL. Adding the code above may not work correctly or even prevent the website from loading entirely.
In this case, you may need to modify your site configuration files to force https. You will need to locate the setting commonly called a site URL, home URL, or base URL and edit this URL to include https. If you are unable to locate the correct setting, you may need to contact the CMS developer for instructions regarding how to force https.
Is there someplace in WebSite X5 evo where I force redirect to https?
TIA!

Called HostGator. Turns out SSL was NOT enabled. They enabled it and viola. Fixed.
I would mark this as solved if I knew how, or even delete the post.
Apologies for wasting your time.
