Problem starting project  en

Hi,

I have just purchased the above software to replace the older version that I had and which was refusing to update my current two websites or to save any changes made. I did a total uninstall of all older versions and removed the files created by them into a new folder. When doing the new install of the X5 Evo version all seemed to go well until I came to upload one of the older versions which refused. I decided to try to create a new website as a trial and got the attached message every single time.

I am running an up to date Windows 10 on a Dell Inspiron 7506 using Windows Defender and security. I have allowed Incomedia software through the firewall as I wondered if Microsoft was blocking both incoming and outgoing traffic but this hasn't made any difference.

If you could offer any solutions to this as soon as possible as I have urgent website updating to do, I would be very grateful.

Kind regards

Lynne Cleaver

Are you trying to upload to internet? because i see error on c drive?

start x5 as admin (right mouse button on start icon)

see that info in step5 is correct, also the parameters button where the FTP parameters needs to be set.

I have now got the program to run but when trying to upload one of my 'old' sites it is stating not found - I think it is something to do with the path to which the app is pointing therefore may not be a X5 problem but a PC one. I am managing to create a new site now without any issues so this seems most likely. Will persevere and hopefully get somewhere over the weekend,

thanks.

When you have found where your "old" projects are located, then you can copy the projects/folders to the same place where your present projects are located - and then you should see the projects when starting the X5

It looks like there is a reference to an template in the old project, but if does not find that template anymore on the place on your harddrive where it was before. Can it be that you have deleted some folders?

or completely deleted the older x5 or something like that?

x5 just can't find the olderly used template anymore on the place where it was when you made the website in the first place.

Hope this makes any sense....
