Hello,

I have created a form for employees to submit a "Paid Time Off" request. I have configured the send options as pictured in the attachment. The intention is the the original submission is sent to a mailbox that is monitored by HR. The confimation email is sent to the employees supervisor for approval. The problem is that part of our company (A sister company) is using gmail for their email service. Any emails sent to a gmail address and failing and returning the following:

Action: failed
Final-Recipient: rfc822;***
Status: 5.0.0
Remote-MTA: dns; gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 550-5.7.1 [151.106.34.166] Messages missing a valid address in From: header, or
550 5.7.1 having no From: header, are not accepted. nc12-20020a1709071c0c00b007117f5643c5si13900086ejc.267 - gsmtp

How can this be addressed?

Hello. Your screenshot does not show the most important thing - the address of the sender and recipient.

I recommend sending mail from an address with your own domain. For example ***in

Do not use to send letters from GMail, etc.

For discussion purposes I'll say that the sender email is *** which is the parent company. Some of the recipents might be from *** which is the sister company.

companyA uses an onsite mail server but companyB uses gmail for business because they are not fully integrated yet.

If I understand correctly, there is no way to make this contact form work in this environment?

"If I understand correctly, there is no way to make this contact form work in this environment?" - this is not entirely true. Indeed, there are problems with sending mail from Gmail (if you specified Gmail as the site's mail). But you can try different settings for sending mail: I prefer authenticated SMTP.

To speed up the test, I recommend using the site's admin panel.
