I had a website in the past with Website X5 Evolution 10 program on my old pc (Windows).
Today i want to use the webiste again but have another pc (Mac Book air).
I  know  that  website  X5  is  not  made  for  Mac  Book  but  there  existes  a  program  so  you  can  use  website  X5  with  Mac  Book.

How do i start ?

i can't find my old evolution 10 website ?

How do i log in ?

Which program do i have to use so Website X5 does work on my Mac Book air en how does it work.

Or is there a better program to make websites with a Mac Book Air ?

If there is no iwzip file for WebSite X5 from the old website, then WebSite X5 would have to be started from scratch and only the texts, images, etc. could be taken over from the old website.

I don't have a Mac computer myself, but there are several ways to run Windows programs on it.

If you have to start from scratch with the website, there are many options available, e.g. offline and online construction kits, HTML web editors and PHP scripts such as Wordpress and countless CMS (content management systems).

What exactly should be done now?

Hi Daniel,

Thx for your reply.
What i want to do is the following : i had a website in the past for renting out an apartment.
I  sold  my  apartment  a few yaers  ago  so  i took  my  website  off  the  internet.

Meanwhile i bought a MacBookAir instaed of a Windows PC.

Know we have another apartment that i am thinking about to rent aswel.
So i was thinking maybe i can reactivate the old website and update with new photo's but i don't know how to start.

My PC knowledge is also not so good that's why Website X5 was just fine for me.

Maybe i should look for a programe that can create websites with mac book.

kind regards,

Guy

Link from Claudio D. and there is a tip for VirtualBox.

Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, Macintosh, and Solaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4, 2.6, 3.x and 4.x), Solaris and OpenSolaris, OS/2, and OpenBSD.

If Virtualbox for Mac is too difficult, even with the help of the videos, then probably only the online website builders remain, these are a bit more expensive than WebSite X5 and normal web hosting, but they can be operated via browser and nothing needs to be installed.

Guy, I had a friend who ran WX5 on his Mac for many, many years using Parallels without issues but sadly this is not a free solution.

https://www.parallels.com/au/products/desktop/

As for WX5 you can download the installable and license key from your profile (top right, this page), but I strongly suggest you do not. Version 10 is extremely old and uses techniques and features no longer supported by todays browsers.

If you think it is justified (lots of content?) and you still have your original project in a folder from your old PC, then you could install V10 and after verifying it works we could assist in converting it to the latest versions, but the recommendation remains. Simply start again.
