Delete all unused images and files

I am using webX5 Pro, If I understand it correctly, the new function in No. 5 (Export), when it says "Delete resources not linked to the project", are they saying it will remove/delete all images/files that aren't linked to the currently published webpage?
Can you give me a link that better explains "optimizing the project"? I really need to remove a lot of no longer-used images and I'm not sure about this new function.
When the images were converted to .webP format, are the .png and .jpg no longer needed in the project?

As far as I know, the resources that are not required are only deleted in the project, but not on the web space.
WebP format is only used for export to the web. The normal image formats are still used in the WebSite X5 program and projects.
If old images or files are to be deleted from the web space, this must be done manually using an FTP program or via the FTP window in WebSite X5.

I'll check the export details next time. From what I can see, you cannot paste a WebP formatted image in your web design.
