Xt cms or incomedia cms  en

Greetings Incomedia forum members, Incomedia has been ignoring our requests regarding the CMS system for a long time, and i am interested in the following (maybe i am boring to some, but this is a functionality that i really need) Does anyone know if it is possible to install XT CMS in the existing X5 website... Does anyone have any experience with this? The CMS system in the X5 application is totally useless and i don't understand why it is there like that...

Thank you, maybe we can persuade Stefan and Incomedia to introduce the CMS system in X5 as a separate module or only for PRO version users... I'm willing to pay for this function now... Urgent...

As a normal user, I am glad that WebSiteX5 is not one of the many CMS.

Several years ago I got hopelessly lost in the WordPress admin area, even though Wordpress is supposed to be simpler than other CMS.

I agree with Daniel, (but it's my humble opinion) I believe that Incomedia should increase software development, improve the current platform with the needs of the modern web.

Hi, I don't know how much you need the customer to be able to edit independently on the website and even if I'm a "moderator" I don't have the slightest idea of the future "plans" for software development...
Maybe they will implement what you need tomorrow, or never...

...anyway, given how WebsiteX5 is structured, I doubt it's a recent change; I think they should change everything to make WebsiteX5 a CMS.
And in fact they put the "dynamic object", which we know well the limits or advantages it has.
But beyond that I doubt...

Maybe they could do something more quickly for the blog and for ecommerce, but I don't think for the normal structure of the website.

I believe that if you have a real need, you should switch to a CMS for that website, rather than waiting, who knows how long, for this change.

I needed a blog for myself, editable when I'm out and without a PC and with other features that WebsiteX5 doesn't have, and I used WP to do it...

When WebsiteX5 is enough for me, and I'm sure of this, I use WebsiteX5.
When I need a CMS, I use a CMS,

Obviously you can have one or more subfolders managed by a CMS, alongside the website managed by WebsiteX5, but I don't do anything in between, they would just be random "solutions" and double maintenance.

"My two cents".
Bye.

When a user who is willing to pay me to do something on the website, I do not doubt my ability to do it... I am legally obliged and i try to be honest and loyal to users who pay and want to pay. I know there are many other CMS systems, but I believe in X5, although it shouldn't because it loses in the fight with the competition...

Forgive me for being honest, I see that Incomedija is not following the direction of business as it was 7 years ago when they were breaking down barriers with innovation...

Dynamic object needs to be improved so little, but i see that it deliberately fights against the CMS system because it is afraid of losing licenses or somethin else... Not all people are technically literate for web development... Add the possibility of adding a simple responsive gallery, entering files into the /files base , deleting the file from the /files database...

I am asking probably a lot and so little... Such a powerful application with a lack of vision of progress and financial betterment for the owners...

Hi X5 Croatia,

I can see your point, and I fully understand why some of our users would like WebSite X5 to be more CMS-oriented. However, I fear that there won't be developments towards this direction any time soon, I am sorry about this.

I know you have been a user for many years, therefore I prefer to be fully open and transparent about this, because I know this decision can affect your job, and of course it is important for you to be informed in order to better evaluate the tool you want to use.

Thanks! Kind regards.

Elisa B. Thank you for your honest answer...

I needed it because it seems that i couldn't convince myself that after so many years i have to switch to another platform for work... It's hard but I'm slowly finding new applications that i have to learn with.. Unfortunately, you are losing users like me... Have been with you for quite a long time and together we have earned a lot...

Since the beginning of use, I have counted more than 230 projects with you and i am glad... Unfortunately, i have started to lose users (good papyed clients) who are looking for more, better, more stable, more advanced...

Unfortunately, you don't see the application in that direction... I'm sorry...

If Incomedia wants to offer a CMS, then the offer would probably have to be divided into 2 areas:

>> WebSite X5 for normal users, freelancers and small web agencies

>> CMS X5 for professionals and medium to large web agencies.

Incomedia would have to compete with its own CMS against a large number of CMS and against the heavyweights in the CMS sector, which also have a large number of plugin providers.

The question will be whether Incomedia has enough developers and money to develop a new CMS and how it will be financed in terms of price and number of customers.

I remain of my opinion, if you are looking for a CMS no one links us to Incomedia the choice is more than wide. Website has a very different place, Incomedia must continue to develop it in a much more aggressive way, trying to grasp the needs of its users and the world of the web.
