How can I enable 'Google Completion Tracking' on my clients web store?  en

Google Completion Tracking is an essential feature according to my client's web/social promotion consultant.

How do I incorporate this into the WSX5 Pro web store I am developing?

My client needs to relate GA4 visitor stats along with which search words result in actual sales (Shopping basket buy events)

Wait for the Incomedia employees, they should be online from Monday to Friday during office hours in Italy.

Today, Thursday, the Incomedia employees either didn't have time or had to carry out tests first to see what WebSiteX5 can do or not and whether the Evo version can do the same.

I myself have no experience with GA4 visitor statistics.

Hello Phil,
could you please provide me with additional information about Google Completion Tracking?
A search did not lead to results with this specific name.
The software only has settings for the activation of Google Analytics itself, so it might be something that requires additional code to be added, or something to be checked on Google Analytics panel.

Hi Eric

My client's web/social promotion consultant insists on having a 'Google Tag Manager Tag' on the shopping cart 'Thank you' page or when the basket is submitted.

For sure it is some customised code but I do not see how to add it to the Shopping Basket Submit event or the 'Thank you page'

I think it would be a great feature to have as a standard option in WSX5

Hello,
these would be the steps to add custom code to the cart and checkout page:

Hi Eric

Yes, I realise that but completion means an order is submitted not just checkout displayed. I think I need to be able to add it to the 'Thank you' page shown after a successful basket submission.

Hello Phil,
rather than a separate page that can be managed independently, those are steps happening in the checkout page.
Perhaps something closer to what you seek could be enabled by adding the code to a page created and set as the Payment Confirmation page, like this:

That looks a great solution. I have a Zoom call with the web/social consultant on Monday.

Hope I can prove it works to his satisfaction. Another sale of WSX5 Pro depends on it working.

Zoom has been postponed later today.

I believe being able to define Payment OK/Fail landing pages will provide the Google Completion tracking capability.

However, I cannot find an equivalent for 'Pay Later' orders?

Hi Phil,

not sure if I get what you mean, but the Pay later option is available here:

Thanks! Kind regards.

Yes, I know the 'Pay Later' option but it does not have a user-defined submission complete landing page like PayPal. So, we cannot (without hacking website code) define a landing with a Google tag.

PayPal has definable landing pages for Completed OK and Failed.

Currently, I am advising my client that Pay Later is not a good practice.
