Configure Website X5 to run on a Linux platform  en

With all of the recent reports of governments in the EU moving away from Windows OS platforms and replacing them with Linux systems, wouldn't it be a postive thing to start developing X5 to operate on Linux platforms to prepare for the future? I know I'm seriously thinking of creating a hybrid network myself for my assets. As it is, if I do reconfigure a laptop to run a Linux OS soon for security issues, I will need to migrate X5 to another computer running Windows so I can still access the blog.

Now, if you also wanted to develope a solution to where we can write blog posts from outside of the X5 application, that would solve that problem.

Just a couple of ideas to keep up with the changing world.

We also emigratet yesterday to Linux Mint because of known issues, away from Windows10. Tried nstalling Pro 202.3 and could not make it run because of missing fonts, it took us too long time, so we go to support now before continuing.

We believe, that now many other persons decide like we do and we hope, this good company Incomedia makes the right move to future not to loose their market.

The most obvious source is the numbers from Statcounter, which are determined from visits to countless websites. These currently (as of June 2025) have a global market share of 4.1 percent for Linux. A value that of course varies greatly from country to country; in the USA it is already 5 percent and in Austria 4.5 percent.

Thank you for letting me know. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one thinking about this. I'll leave this ticket open to see if we get a response from Incomedia in a reasonable amount of time.
