I use Website X5v20215-Evo to run http://www.arranbirding.co.uk/index.html
I recently changed my laptop and moved from Windows 10 to Windows 11. I also began to use "One Drive". Whenever I make changes to my project website and save these changes, I receive an email from "One Drive" alerting me that a large number of Incomedia files have been deleted. I have never had this before. I have no idea what is going on. There is an option to restore these hundred plus files and I do restore them but I am not sure if this is what I should do. All advice gratefully received.

I don't use OneDrive myself, maybe other OneDrive users will get in touch.
Here is some information from Google AI, which I cannot evaluate, see

Overview with AI
Using Microsoft OneDrive in conjunction with WebSite X5 can ease workflow through cloud synchronization, but requires attention to avoid data loss or corrupted project files.
The main danger is that OneDrive syncs a file while WebSite X5 is still actively editing it.

It is far more reliable if the working WX5 folder is outside of the synchronised one drive folder so everything is dealt with locally.
Hello,
as Daniel and Esahc have mentioned, my recommendation would be to use a local folder rather than a cloud-based one for the storage of projects, to avoid potential issues due to interrupted connections or other malfunctions that would prevent you from accessing the files of your projects.
Regarding what you described, could you give some example of the files for which you received this warning? Did OneDrive display a list of them?
As this occurred when saving, it may involve some temporary files that were generated during the changes, before the actual saving, but I would like to check.

Hi Eric,
I am sorry I cannot give examples of the files. I did not retain any of the email warnings and I do not intend to generate the warning emails again if I can avoid it. There was a list of files displayed ( hundreds), all with incomedia incorporated in the names. I am sorry that I cannot be more helpful.
