I hope the following explanation would be able to help you understand. Instead of finishing the the cart for sale, can an option be placed to make an order for quote, or request enquiries on more information about the product.

So, when a client wants a quote for a product all the data the customer fills in like quantity, options etc. has to be sent with the request for a quote.

Another feature would be to request a quote from the selection of more products. To explain this a client wants eq a pen and another product. He needs to be able to add them to the cart and then instead of paying pushing a button "Request an inquiry " with all the necessary data the customer filled in for the inquiry (like product, options, etc.) and then fil in their company name address.

I hope I am clearer in explanation.

This can not be done in the shopping cart, you can only do it using the email form object, I'm sorry.

Why do'nt you attach a screenshot of your shopping cart page and explain exactly what text and where exaclty you are trying to add it, I'll see if I can suggest anything.

As you had suggested I posted in Idea and Steve got back to me with a suggestion.  I acted on it but have  few more issues that I want achieved if possible.

the attachment has detail about it and it would be wonderful to achieve it in time before i make the site permanent.

I saw your screenshot and unfortunately I am ot entitled to help you with your personal HTML codes. The shopping cart has those settings and they can not be removed automatically, therefore you need to add your personal HTML codes to it and it is quite complicated.
Maybe another user can help?
