Hello Shona,
Can you be a little more specific? What do you mean by "accessing" your site? Do you refer to opening up WebSite X5 and selecting your project from the Project Selection screen?
Kind regards,
Paul

Sorry yes, it's nowhere in the window and I can't see it on my computer anymore
Can you go into the 'Preferences', which is accessed from the menu on the left-hand side of the very first screen which opens when you start WebSite X5. Once there can you note down what the location of your "Projects folder" is, and let us know?
Can you also browse to the same "Projects folder" on your computer and give us an idea of what sub-folders are inside it?
Please also do a search on your computer (using the built-in search feature) for files ending with the file extension .IWPRJ or .IWZIP and let us know the results.
Kind regards,
Paul

Can I get help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Shona,
It's always wise to update to the latest version and I recommed doing so... however, in this case I don't feel it will make any difference to your issue.
If your computer search failed to return any relevant results then unfortunately it appears as though at some point you have accidentally deleted your project from your computer. Or perhaps this happened through using a third-party software. The exact details I cannot be sure about, but in any event it seems as though your project is no longer on your PC.
Did you store any backups on external media, such as a USB flash drive, or a CD/DVD, or a portable hard drive?
I will mark this post for the attention of the Incomedia support staff as per your request - however, I'm afraid to say that they won't be able to assist you in restoring your project if you have no project data left on your computer. WebSite X5 doesn't delete its own project files: unfortunately this can only have happened as a result of accidental error.
Please recheck the location of the "Project folder" - you can simply copy and paste the entry which you see in the "Preferences" screen and post it here. This will help us to track down your missing data, if indeed it still exists on your computer.
Fingers crossed for you.
Best regards,
Paul

Thanks Shona,
Can you confirm that when you browse to that exact location on your hard drive, that it's completely empty? Or if not, can you again paste the details of the contents, exactly as you see them?
Thanks!

If I start a new project and re do my whole website when I upload it will I still be able to upload it to it's original internet address and the same domain name?
That's bad news I'm afraid
Did you reinstall WebSite X5 at any point? Or create a new user account on your PC perhaps? If so, then there's still a possibility that the data could be on your machine but under a different user account. However, if you are the only user of your PC then this won't apply.
Clutching at straws now, but can you do another search of your ENTIRE C: drive, this time looking for any files or folders with 'WebSite' as part of the name?
"If I start a new project and re do my whole website when I upload it will I still be able to upload it to it's original internet address and the same domain name?"
Yes, providing of course that you still own the domain name in question.

I did the search, it just brings me to the empty folder. Think I'll have to re-do. I do own the domain name but you're sure the new project will go there?
Yes, in Step 5 enter the FTP details of the server on which your domain name is hosted. Also ensure that your domain name is correctly entered in Step 1.
Having done that your project will be uploaded correctly.
Let us know if you need further help.
Best regards,
Paul
And check your Trash bin as well - if it got deleted and you have not emptied this, it might still be there!
