I am working on websitex5 evolution 8. For a week now I have tried to upload my websites, but it comes up scramble. I have reloaded my laptop, there is not virus or malware...I have reloaded your software, but nothing comes right. See www.yvonneanker.com. I have worked with your software for may years and this is the first time this is happening. I want to upgrade but now I think to invest in another website software!!!! I have complained already last week. Maybe your customer support should allow for a email address. PLEASE HELP.

Hi Yvonne, I looked at your site but couldn't see exactly what might be "scrambled" about it. It could do with an improved layout (and so could all our sites!) but it was all readable and I could access submenus, etc.
If you can specify exactly what you see as the issues, that would help. I use Firefox on a Windows Vista machine. Have you looked at your site with another computer unrelated to the one you use X5 on? There are issues with X5 version 8 with the new Internet Explorer 11 about uploading - maybe this is a problem for you. It's a Microsoft issue, not an X5 issue.
Version 8 is quite old now and does not work so well with search engines, so you could consider updating to version 10 but you will need to have Incomedia convert your Version 8 file, as Version 10 can't import earlier than Version 9 files. Hopefully this helps you.

Hi Yvonne, I see what you mean in the "Training" submenu, especially in the "Business Skills" tab. Things are definitely not right there.
When you load up the project in X5, go to that submenu and use the "Preview" function, does it look correct there? If so, it is an uploading issue, where somehow that part of the file gets corrupted (maybe with old content on the server that does not get updated properly).
If the problem is also there in the Preview function, there will be some elements that are intefering with the correct display of your content - often very hard to spot as they may just be some extra spaces accidently left.
Your best way to correct this would be to completely take out the content in that submenu, upload the site again and then recreate the submenu and do another upload. Make sure you save a backup of the site as it is (and name it carefully so you know what it is) in case further issues are encountered. Answering my other questions above will help other forum members of admin staff to help you further, as I am much less experienced than they are.
Your "House Haven Guesthouse" section is quite well set out and uses a more pleasing colour scheme that the Hosanna group site - I am sure that the colour scheme was intentional to give the restful feeling to the viewer, but the harsh purple of the Hosanna site could be softened into blues a bit and would be easier to scroll through. Just a thought.
Hi Yvonne, it looks like you have sorted out the site for the Hosanna group. It displays fine now. What about the other site? What worked for you? This will help others who may have similar problems.
