Issues with pull down menus

My problem is with the pull down menus from my main menu items. I have two issues. How do i get rid of the pull down options from the right hand side of the page. when I have chosen one of the pull down Choices. Secondly if I have a page open which is a PDF file, the menu pull down choices from my main menu opens the pull downs behind the PDF file, so they are not "visible" to choose. I hope this makes sense.

To see the problem, go to www.mcl472.org
pick the Newsletter Tab and choose any of the drop down newsletters. The page will show with a PDF file of the Newsletter
Now try to select either the Member recognition tab or the Newsletter Tab again, and the drop down items are behind the PDF file

on my PC the menu stays in front. I switched from newletter to member or used mebbers multiple time with a pdf.
I use Firefox at the moment. Wich explorer and version are you using ? Is it up to date ?
Is your javascript on your pc up to date ? Try to update.
I don't know what you mean by, can you explain in more detail?

Thank you Andre....I am running IE ver 9 but I just loading Chrome, and you are right it works fine.....as for the last part about getting rid of the drop down, I was able ot figure that out. I am going ot check my java to see if it needs updating

Definitely seems ot be IE related..I update Java with no change. Works fine with Chrome and Firefox....Wish I knew the fix, since I suspect most of my viewers will be using IE

I am also upgrading to 10 tonight, and I will see if that makes any difference

I know the problem, in the past on older version this happend more often but it seems in x5 fine know.
Maybe some settings in IE ? The menus uses scripts so they need to be on.
