Hi,
I have created a separate login page for my members using the insert Widget (Login) function in Evolution 10.
1) Is there a way to immediately link the member to a specific Locked Page (Hidden from Menu)?
i.e. After Member Login-> Link -> Locked Page (Hidden from Menu)
2) If I have a link to a Locked Page, Memebers click it and it will go the the default Evolution Login Page. The default title is 'Automatic Registration'. Can I change this title? I tried using Page Properties but it does not work.
Thank you,
Shelley

Hello Shelley,
1) Is there a way to immediately link the member to a specific Locked Page (Hidden from Menu)?
Yes, there is... you can set a specific landing page for each individual user by going to Step 4 Advanced Settings > Access Management... double-click on the 'User' you wish to link to a page, then use the drop-down menu to set their 'Entrance page' to point to the hidden, locked page you wish them to land on... you will obviously have to create the relevant user landing pages first, and set them to be hidden in Step 2 Sitemap Creation (using the 'Hidden Page in the Menu' icon on the toolbar')
2) If I have a link to a Locked Page, Memebers click it and it will go the the default Evolution Login Page. The default title is 'Automatic Registration'. Can I change this title?
I'm a little puzzled as to what you refer to here? Automatic Registration is a feature only available in the Professional versions of WebSite X5. Does this question relate to the Professional version?
Kind regards,
Paul

Hi Paul,
Thank you for the information about linking to a specific page. It works brilliantly! Exactly how I want it to work! Many many thanks.
About the second question, I totally agree it sounds wierd because that is also what I think too! However, attached is a doc. with the screenshot and you will see what I mean.
I created a link (just for testing) to click to go the the locked page.I get prompted to login / register because the page is locked. The header of the default login/register prompt is "Automatic Registration" and has the 'Register' button.
Since I have Evo 10 and not Pro 10, the header title is incorrect. I've tried to remove it but can't do so! Can you help?
Thanks again! You have been most most helpful!
Cheers,
Shelley
Thanks for the screenshot, Shelley... very helpful.
I am (for the time being at least) bewildered as to why you have the text 'Automatic Registration' showing. On my own copy of Evolution 10 that text is displayed as 'Private Area' - I am using 'English' as my 'Content Language' - perhaps you are using a different 'Content Language'?
In any event, you should be able to change the text to your preference as follows:
Go to Step 1 General Settings > Basic tab... near the bottom of the screen you will see a drop-down menu field entitled 'Content Language'... look to the extreme right of this field and you will see a small graphical icon... click on that icon...
In the new window which opens scroll down the 'ID content' list until you find the variable called private_area_title - then place your cursor in the column on the right and you will be able to directly edit the text which is present there (I am assuming it will be 'Automatic Registration')
Save your changes by clicking the 'Close' button... it's very important that you do this as opposed to clicking on the red cross in the top right of the window.
Then preview or upload to the web and test.
As regards the 'Register' button... I don't see that when I try to access a locked page... with that in mind, can I ask what you have entered in the 'Registration Page' field in Step 4 Advanced Settings > Access Management?
There shouldn't be anything in there if you want to deny users the ability to register (manual registration is still possible in the Evolution edition, you see) - if you have anything entered in that field, then delete it by placing your cursor in the field and pressing the BACKSPACE or DELETE key. Then preview or upload and test, etc.
Let us know how you get on!

Hi Paul,
Yep! You are right!!!!!!!!!!!
I followed all your suggested steps and changed the ID Content and DELETE all the details that were somehow already inside those fields in the 'Access Management'.
Really odd why they were like that in the first place but what is important is that it has been solved!
Your help has been tremendous and invaluable!!!
Humongous THANK YOU!
Cheers,
Shelley
