Hello Adrian,

Version 8 is now a very old version which is incompatible with version 12.  The quickest way to recreate a v8 project in v12 is to copy and paste the text and images from the v8 project into new Text and Image objects in v12.

Version 12 will however accept imports directly from versions 9, 10 and 11.  To import your v11 projects into v12 proceed as follows:

Open up your copy of version 11 and load the project which you wish to convert to version 12.

Then go to Step 5 and select the option 'Export the Project' (see the screenshot attached)  -  WebSite X5 will allow you to save this file at the location of your choice.  NB: don't use the option 'Export the Website to disk' as this is for other purposes and won't produce the file you need.

Now open up your new copy of version 12 , click the 'Start' button in the top-right corner of the opening screen...  you will then arrive at the Project Selection screen.

Look to the far right of this screen and you will see a button marked 'Import'  -  if you click it a dialogue window will open and allow you to browse to the location of the IWZIP file that you exported earlier from version 11.
