Problem in modifying a selected template

I am new to websiteX5, my version is Evolution 11. I am now putting up a site to report on an event using one of the sports templates. I have created my own graphic for the banner, and name it top.png and place it in the template.css folder. It works. However, as soon as do some editing to the pages and export the files to the designated location on my PC, that graphic file is overwritten by the orginal top.png. I have to replace it with my own graphic again and again, everytime I update the project. Is there a way to swap in my own graphic permanently? Thank You.

You don't nee to copy files around in x5, you can do this directly in x5.
Goto step1 -> template style -> template structure.
There select what you want to change. adjust and press ok.
Thats it.
If you have more questions then try the help file in X5, it's very good with some practice items at the end. just press F1.
