Hi,
I recently upgraded from version 10 to 12, imported my project so far so good.
The problem is in the responsive options, I've activated the option and in preview it all looks fine in all resolutions, however once uploaded the cell styles I use are only visible in landscape mode, in portrait they simply disappear on mobile phones. I tried this on android, windows phone and IOS both stock browsers and firefox/chrome mobile, al with the same results
Website is www.tillyrose.nl, any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello Tilly Rose,
Are you perhaps confusing cell style with template style, etc.?
I visited your site in different viewports and in each case the cell styles remained the same: however, it looks as though you have not yet set up your responsive template.
The responsive viewports use a separate template with unique headers, footers, backgrounds, etc. (Step 1 General Settings > Template Style > Responsive Template Structure).
Please see the help file for further details:

If having set the responsive template you still experience issues, then can you please post a screenshot indicating which part of the web page does not display correctly in portrait mode?
Kind regards,
Paul

Paul,
thnx for the quick response.
I had already set up de responsive template, the problem occurs when I visit the site on a mobile phone in portrait mode, de cells containing text/pictures etc dont have any borders or background, once I flip the phone to landscape they appaer.
In preview mode this problem does not occur, attached 2 screenshot of landscape/portrait, note the absence of borders in the portrait one
thnx in advance
Marco
I see now what you refer to, Marco. I can reproduce the same effect when testing but only when using fairly small viewports. I am not sure if this is by design and if (in certain circumstances) the cell styles are dropped intentionally due to the limited resolution available. It does appear to depend very much on the specific cell style settings used.
We will ask Incomedia for their comments. Please continue to monitor the thread for their reply, which you can usually expect within 24/48 hours.
Best wishes...
Hello Marco,
Once you reach the smarthpone view set in the responsive section the cell styles are automatically removed since all the content is organized on maximum one object on every row.
Many thanks!

Claudio,
thnx for your answer, however that does not explain why i looks perfect in preview mode, even when I set minimal resolution to 320 the cells still show in preview mode, showing all cells in one row
So when I open it on a 720x1280 phone it shouldn't be a problem, it strikes me a bit odd that a preview mode representing a mobile screen in portrait is able to display it but an actual mobile would not be.
Could you please look in to this again, the responsive feature is the main reason I recently upgraded, if cell style is not possible this will force me to create a new template without the look and feel of the original website thus rendering my recent purchase rather useless
thnx again
Hello Marco,
On which phone do you experience the issue?
If it's an iPhone the 720px width is for retina but for websites it uses 360px as resolution.
Also in the preview when go further than the latest breakpoint set the cell style is removed. One pixel less and the cell style is no longer visible.
Many thanks!

Claudio,
I have tried this on an Iphone6 a Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo, a Samsung Galaxy S4 and a nokia lumia 630, all show the same behaviour.
On the android phones I have tested with the stock browser and both firefox and chrome
So we're down to four different phones using 5 different browsers
I already changed resolution to 320 in responsive design, but this doesnt change anything, preview shows up fine in 320 but all the phones still don't show cell style until I turn to landscape mode.
Just to be sure I re-uploaded the site again, cleared my cache but nothing has changed.
I hope we can find a solution
thnx again

Claudio,
I just tinkered a bit with the margin settings under mobiele template style, changing the horizontal margins under page background from their defaults to 0,0,0,0.
Somehow, though I see no visible changes in lay out preview, this has done the trick :)
thnx for the support!
Marco
